Meet the M Acupuncturist
Monique Hulick, L.Ac. is licensed in the state of California to practice acupuncture. She is a graduate of Five Branches University and holds a Master's Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She did her internship with Robin Green the pediatric specialist in Morgan Hill, CA.
Monique got post-graduate certification by Richard Teh-Fu Tan, O.M.D. L.Ac. in his world renowned Balance Method. This method is different from other acupuncture methods because of its ability to provide instant pain relief while also working on the root of the problem.
Monique's passion for wellness began at an early age when family members were falling ill and the modern medical model was failing them. Through tragedy, Monique found a silver lining. She aspires to keep those around her happy, healthy, and thriving. She hopes the knowledge she imparts on patients and loved ones will be passed on, connecting the world and inciting people to take control of their wellbeing.
What Patients Are Saying:
"Are you skeptical of something new and different? I know I was; I had never heard much about acupuncture so I was very skeptical... 3 years later I realize it was the best decision of my life!
Once my doctors had no other options for me except surgery, I knew I needed to look at other options. Monique not only kept me out of surgery, but she got me back to normal health! It was refreshing to get treatment for pain while also having someone so willingly answer all my questions about my diet and health.
She won't sell you on a new prescription drug, instead, she takes the time to find a healthy alternative that suits you.
I highly recommend her treatments. You will finally get the help you need after nothing else seems to work."

"I went to see Monique after my right shoulder had been hurting for a few days. It felt tight and I didn't have full range of motion. I had never had acupuncture before but had always wanted to try it. I told Monique and she explained everything to me and made sure I felt totally at ease. I was slightly nervous because I didn't know if it would hurt. The first needle went in and I barely felt a thing. The rest went in and there was no pain. Literally no pain, because my shoulder pain went away, too.
I didn't expect it to work so quickly! She asked me to move my arm around and I could still feel a slight bit of tension. A few minutes later, I moved my arm again and all the pain was gone.
Monique was very professional, informative, patient, and understanding. But, most important to me, she was nice and caring. My shoulder still feels great! If I ever have any other pains or ailments, I know who I'll be seeing."

"I have been seeing Monique for several months. She has been helping me with some digestive issues and some other issues I've had. She has helped me immensely with all of my issues. She is a great acupuncturist and has a very gentle touch. She has also prescribed some herbal remedies that have done wonders. I recommend her to anybody who is considering acupuncture and/or herbal medicine."

"For the past 6 months Monique Hulick has been my acupuncturist, treating me once or twice a week for the management of chronic pain. I have suffered for decades from chronic migraine headaches and related spinal pain. I am a long time patient at the UCSF Headache Center, as well as, the Stanford Headache Clinic and Stanford Pain Management Clinic, all of whom strongly support the use of acupuncture in the control and management of chronic and complex pain syndromes.
I’ve used acupuncture as an add on therapy (along with pain medications) for the past 10 years, and have had the opportunity in Silicon Valley to be treated by a wide variety of practitioners, from world famous Master Teachers to supervised students finishing their academic training. So, I’ve experienced quite a large sample of acupuncturists.
But, I’ve had more individual treatments by Monique than by any other practitioner, so I can speak strongly to her style, skill, and technique.
I would unconditionally recommend Monique to anyone seeking acupuncture treatment. First, she is a focused and concerned listener, always hearing what the patient is most concerned with. She is skillful in the traditional methods of diagnosing prior to treatment. Her needling technique is meticulous and virtually painless. I’m often asked by friends if acupuncture hurts. My standard answer is, “It depends on the skill of the acupuncturist.” I’m frequently not even aware that Monique has placed a needle.
She’s very aware and concerned about her patients’ physical and emotional comfort, and does everything possible to assure a pleasant, unhurried, and relaxing treatment. Monique clearly cares personally about her patient’s well-being, health, and comfort. She always accommodates requests regarding personal comfort, such as music, temperature, lights, or schedule. She is punctual, reliable, and flexible.
But, most of all, I think Monique’s personality is the key to her special gift. She is patient, calm, skillful, reassuring, confident, competent, relaxed, and friendly. And she obviously genuinely cares about her patients’ health and long term well-being."
